FIRM HANDSHAKE

I hope now you are well versed with the different techniques of effectively introducing yourself , & you are experiencing the difference.

After introducing yourself it comes the part of a HANDSHAKE.

A FIRM HANDSHAKE is of utmost importance because, People make an immediate judgement about your level of confidence through your Handshake.

So always remember the following things about Handshake.

WHEN TO USE HANDSHAKE-

# When you are introduced to someone
# When you say goodbye to someone
# At the beginning or the end of a business meeting

POINTS TO REMEMBER

- Be first to extend your hand
- Always extend your right hand
- Take the other person's hand in a firm but not rock-hard clasp
- Shake firm once, or at the most twice
- When giving the handshake, make an eye-contact & state your usual greetings

Welcome to the Part 1 of the Series "CHANGE THE WAY PEOPLE SEE YOU!"

Introductions are the first step in a conversation & Introducing yourself is important in any networking situation.

Well, we meet a lot of people in our day to day life , we make relations with them if we find them Interesting & vice versa.

Each & every relation starts with an Introduction , weather it may be a Personal relation or Professional relation.

Remember the Introduction of famous Hollywood Film character James Bond , Hi, I am Bond , James Bond.

I am not telling you to introduce yourself the way James bond introduces himself, but you must have your own pattern. If you don't have one create it , practice it until it becomes your habit.

You would introduce yourself differently in different situations social Activities , Official Meetings , Meeting a fellow for the first time or just a conversation with a new person.

You can add your personal details like Family , Hobbies , Interests , Achievements also while introducing yourself.

very Important - Never use the word "MYSELF" , while introducing yourself. Instead of "MYSELF", use "MY NAME IS" OR "I AM".
